I got a TD04 15G off of my buddy's 850R and I was wondering, is the CPV on the compressor housing a substitute for mounting a BOV on the upper I/C pipe??? I am custom mounting this Mitsu 15G onto my 2000 Galant and was wondering what the CPV did... and what flange does this turbo use for the manifold?? any feedback is appreciated.

The CBV is like a stock BOV but it isn't. If you do go the way of a BOV you will have to run a blanking plate over the CBV and run the CBV vaccum line to your BOV.
Or you could keep the CBV hooked up and run both.
That won't hurt anything running both.

This is what I am doing. But I am hopefully sometime going to block it off.

I am considering this also I have the blanking plate, but I think I am going to put a t-fitting on my vacuum line and run my HKS SSQV (on a low setting so it opens easier) and my CBV together! Eventually I would like to blank the CBV off but not right now. Do you see any problems with that? It should work fine right? Also do you think the dealer will void my warranty for welding a flange on my IC pipe?
Thanks

If you still have a warranty I wouldn't do anything yet. Volvo is picky and would probably void your warranty. I just wouldn't anything till the warranty is up.

The car has a 4 year 50,000 mile waranty, the service start date was feb. 05 so I will have 2 years left feb. next year! which comes in handy b/c when I did my rims I found a 1 inch tear in my passenger front CV boot. So I took it to Volvo on wednesday and they ordered me a new front axle! Do you think I could weld the flange on a small section of aluminum pipe and cut it into the rubber tubing, so when I take it in for waranty work I remove the BOV and put a pipe in its place???
Its not that big of a deal I am just looking for the turbo to be more audible without spending tons of money!
thanks
