Idea for a dune buggy, is it possible?
Aright, I recently came across a 3.0l penta i4 engine from a marine application, and I want to know what transmission will bolt up with it. I am wanting to put it into a dune buggy and hoping to make it rwd. I tried looking on google, but have had no luck. I am hoping someone on here may be knowledge enough to know if it will even be possible. Thanks

Hmmmm, ya think? Not to be a SA, but unless that engine is used in an automotive application nobody here is likely to know the answer to your question. Unless you really just like this type of challenge or have money to burn and throw at someone in a custom shop to figure it out stick with something that has already been done. JMO

bring this up from the past
I put a B20 engine in a VW Bus using a Kennedy Adapter
they will sell you a flywheel that is adapted for the transmission style you choose
The adapter I have uses the smaller VW starter then the more heavy duty Volvo starter.
you will not need the raw water pump just the normal circulating pump
good luck if you are still on that project
I'd like to see what you built
cheers
