I have an '05 V50. I've popped the hoods of a lot of cars in my day, but I can't find the inside hood release on this one! I checked the owner's manual; and looked just where it told me to look. Still I can't find it.
Please help!

Being an owner of older Volvo's, I can't tell you the answer, But if you -Ask this question in the V50 segment of this forum, you will get a quicker answer. (a call to the dealer may be fruitful also)

 

You can't see the release without being a contortionist. with your left hand follow the contour of the left side of the dash until it meets the bottom when your hand meets the bottom reach back a little and , your hand should find the handle

I'm a blog reader. I haven't ventured on to forums, so I was thrilled to see that there was a "general Volvo" forum. Didn't even notice there was a specific forum for V50's. Cool.
Happily, I don't have to post the question in the specialized forum, as I followed Rick's great directions. I had looked all around that area, but somehow had passed it every time. I just went out to the garage, and, voila!
