Driver's window off track

Driver's window off track
Hello,
My driver's side window has come completely off the track. I've got power windows and am scared to touch the button for fear of screwing things up worse. How easy do the door panels come off? I'd like to pull everything apart and see if I can fix it, but don't want to crush the door panel. Anyone know the best way to attack this type of thing?
Car is a 1994 940 Turbo Wagon. I appreciate any and all leads.
Thanks!

RE: Driver's window off track
My 740 has done that at least 5 times. There is a pressed in pivot pin that makes the scissor action work, it pops out
of position and all hell breaks loose. The assist spring runs off it also so that adds additional stress. A certain amount of know how is needed to repair yourself. (if this indeed is your problem)

Also, there is a clip on the side of the door-actually the red lense IS the clip, the one that comes on when the door is open-pry that out carefully. Your window regulator may me bad, the scissorring mechanism could be worn out OR, if you are lucky, the plastic sliders may have popped out or worn out. Anyway, open it up and have a go-I do it routinely with every Volvo I get. The940's are riveted, the 740's had 10mm bolts that got loose and caused problems.
