My son's '01 S40 is getting the P0237 and P0236 codes. This seemed to start just after we had a shop replace the turbo oil supply and return pipes and seals but may be unrelated.

According to VIDA it is Boost Pressure Sensor 1 with possible causes are: 1) Open harness connection, 2) shorted harness connection, 3) failed sensor.

I checked the wire harnesses but no obvious issues.

Boost Pressure Sensor 1 appears to be the one in the intake pipe near the radiator. I replaced it with a new Bosch sensor but still get the same codes. I put the old one back and replaced the one in the intake manifold with the new one. The codes are still there after resetting. Any help is appreciated?



Next issue. While I had e VIDA and DiCE connected for the Boost Pressure Sensor, I found a CCM issue concerning low Damper Voltage. Sure enough, the temperature is very slow responding to the control and sometimes does not change. I believe the temperature damper is behind the stereo. I disconnected and reconnected the damper but still no joy. Any ideas?

The CEL is off on its own now. Perhaps it took some run-time to truly clear.

Still have the heater issue. From what I read on the UK forum, it looks like we probably have a bad damper motor.
