Default Rear shocks

Hello, is it difficult to replace rear shocks on an 06 S60? Should I replace the brackets/spring seats as well?

do you have FWD or AWD? Why are you looking to replace the shocks? ie do you see oil leaking, do they have high mileage, are you hearing noises going over speed bumps etc or are you just looking for an upgrade? Do you have a standard suspension or self leveling (ie Nivomat) or 4C?

FWD. I figure a new set of shocks would improve the ride considering I'm about to hit 150K miles.

My own experience is the hardest part of the job is moving the trunk liner to gain access to the top nuts! As to replacing the shock mount, unless you have noises the old ones are probably good but on your model they are more expensive than on my S40 or 850 where I just replaced all the parts. On your model you have a spring insulator ( $5), spring seat ($12), the mount (aka anchor) ($85), shock ($95) and bump stop ($15). (Genuine Volvo pricing per Tasca Parts)

Mine is FWD without the Four-C or Active chassis.

should be pretty straight forward then. I bet you can find a Youtube vid with a how to if you are looking for some tricks to the process.
