Default Brake Failure after changing rear hub bearings

At first, I replaced my rear right hub bearing. Took it for a test drive and had brake failure pop up. Read the code and told me it was the right wheel. I looked at the sensor and double checked to make sure that I put it back correctly. I told myself that I will look at the left side sensor as a back up check.
Then I replaced the left rear hub bearing. I saw how the sensor was installed and knew that the right side was in correctly.
I take the car for a test drive and things got very weird. After going only 20 yards, my ABS and traction controls are engaging in trying to stop my car! I had to disengage the system by pressing the console button.
I know that I installed everything correctly and didn't damage BOTH sensors. It seems that the sensor doesn't recognize the back of the new bearings. Maybe the new backing plate is too thick? Is there a way for the ABS to LEARN the new signal?
I cleared the codes with my PPC code reader but they returned just as quickly.

HELP ! ! ! !

Default

I think it might be a wheel bearing issue.

Default S80 Rear Wheel Brg replacement

Have you had any luck with your problem? I just repalced both front and rear wheel bearing hubs along with rotors, pads and drive axles. S80 2.9 with 195K miles on it. Completed the front end assemble and road tested the car with no issues.

Proceeded to the rear wheel and replaced wheel hubs with an inferior brand hubs. Road tested and all my problems started...same identical description you identified. Could not get out of my community.

Reinstalled the old wheel bearing hubs to prove that the cause was the inferior hubs. I was able to road test the car without issues other than the dash lights stating the ABS and traction system needs attention.

How can I get rid of the dash light indicators. I'm ordering OEM hubs forthe rear today.

Frustrated.
