So this is what I need to do.
Have you done this job using jacks and jackstands in the driveway?
I will
Jack up car put on jackstands
Remove front wheels
remove ball joints
remove sway bar links
remove steering colomn to rack
remove center engine mount bracket
remove rear subframe bolts
loosen front subframe bolts
-subframe hangs
remove and replace sway bar bushings
Does that about cover it?

Done
thanks for your advice, it helped. I left the tie rod ends on. plenty of room once the subframe bolts were out.
The only trouble I had was getting the new bushings pieces "snapped toghether" on the sway bar. I ended up snapping one side and putting it into the slotted retainer, then using a longer bolt into the hole snapping the other side, removing the longer bolt, then using the bolt supplied with the busings.
Also the steering column gave me ALOT of trouble going back onto the rack. I had to put everything underneath back toghether *then undo the colomn mouting bolts and fit it toghether in the exact right angle.
I used the rack at my work and am glad I did, it would have had a very hard time doing it on the ground using jackstands and hand tools only.
Difficulty level would probably be an 8 due to some un-expected troubles.
doing the job again would be no problem

Hello,
I have a 2000 V40 and am preparing to remove and replace the front sway bar bushings. I'll be performing the work in a driveway, working with a 2-ton hydraulic jack and a pair of jack stands.
Any idea as to where i could find the instructions to do this job properly. I've read this thread but still have a few questions - and figured I'd ask you for your advice/guidance since you've done the job yourself already.
...I wish I had access to a lift but, unfortunately, I don't.
Any info/guidance is appreciated...
Thanks!

I bought the anti sway bar kit from IPD and only got to installing the rear sway bar which made a big difference. Can I follow the steps above to replace the swaybar to, or do I hasve to do anything different. I know the sway bar is a little thicker(25mm), don't know if its harder to take out. Ill have to jack it up and do it, is that possible and how long would it take?
