Default 1999 Volvo V70 will not start after key left in position 1 for 4 hours

We purchased a used 1999 Volvo V70 a few months ago and it has been great until a week ago. We left the key on for about 4 hours when we returned to the car, it would not start. We found someone to jump the car, but still nothing. Since, we've replaced the starter...nothing, we've replaced the ignition switch and still nothing, we've as a last resort changed the battery, yet again nothing. The battery in the car is brand new, so we are completely unsure where to go from here. Any help is greatly appreciated!!

Peace..

Did you do any testing of the components before you replaced them ?

Is the starter new or ??

Is the ignition switch new or ??

Have you checked the fuses and do the headlights work ??

When you turn the key to start does it do anything at all or is it completely dead ??
