98 v70 cruise problem
My 98 v70 non turbo fwd cruise has quit working, had it to shop a number of times and they rerplaced every switch on it that delt with the cruise. Now the say it could be the throttle cable causing the problem. I don`t trust them anylonger. any ansewers come to mind?
I chased my cruise problem for about 2 months. SMH What a pain.
1. Vacuum, make sure you have vacuum, does the pump turn on? There is a way to jump the relay (near the fuel pump relay) that causes the pump to turn on and pull the throttle pedal.
2. Brake pedal switch, make sure it's positioned properly. Does it matter/set if you lift up on the brake pedal?
3. Any ABS codes? Needs proper speed signal to work.
4. I once had the lever at the gas pedal diaphragm come loose.
My problem ended up being that my cluster wasn't sending the speed signal to the relay so the cruise didn't know I was going faster than 22 mph. Would not turn on.
