Default Few questions on my recently acquired v70

Ok so I just got handed down a 1999 v70. 2.4 fwd. anyway I know it's gonna need brakes and shocks. Some issues I need to fix ASAP. The passenger side window doesn't go down with the driver side master switch only the passenger side. Also the passenger side door doesn't lock from the outside. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks in advanced!

Justin!

Master window switch is likely faulty. I had the exact same issue, the master switch could only roll down the driver's window, despite the other windows functioning when using the switch on the relevant window. I recommend OEM only; I bought a cheap non-OEM switch that failed after about 2 weeks. Because of the switch failure, sometimes the car would think I was breaking into it, and the "silent alarm" would go off. Very annoying.

Does the passenger door lock when you press the lock/unlock button on the inside of the car? Does it work when you rock the key back and forth in the driver's side door keyhole?

Thanks for the reply, I'll have to try a new master switch on the drivers side. As for the passenger door... The door does not lock at all, it only looks like it locks. But if u open it from the outside it will open regardless.
