Exclamation So I acquired a monster... need help

Hey guys, I'm new to this forum, and joined because I'm sure there are some very knowledgeable people on here. I recently purchased a 1987 Volvo 740t station wagon with a Ford 5.0 v8 swapped into it. The engine and tranny are the only components that were changed, with the addition of a kit to mount the engine, etc. The drive shaft and rear end are still stock.

My question is what size rear end can I swap in that will fit the stock drive shaft? I'd like to upgrade the gearing to 4.10 before I do anything else. Thanks

The only advice I could give is that most of the 740's should have one of these 4 ratios- 3.31, 3.54, 3.73, or 3.91:1 As for identifying them here's a great page:

Hope thats useful and BTW Welcome.
