Found a V70, has a bad angle gear...What does that mean?
I'm having a baby soon, looking around for safe cars etc...I found a V70 XC that I could trade my truck for, however the angle gear is back and the rear driveshaft has been removed so it is front wheel drive only.
I live in a snowy climate and would require the AWD in the long run and I'm curious how much it would be to fix, if it's fixable, and if it would be smart to fix.
I know pretty much nothing about Volvos, I've always been a Nissan fan so they're new to me.
Thoughts, links, and suggestions please!
Thanks for looking

they mean the transfer box, angle gear/ transfer box same thing, can expensive to replace, probably the reason for disconnecting it. Avoid pre 2004 models, Volvo changed the manufacture of the box that year the new boxes have better reliability.
