Hi, I have a 1998 V70 and recently fitted a pair of new reflector headlights. I also purchased a H7R 35w, 5000k HID kit from ebay. It was not a cheap kit so I expected good performance. However the beams have a cut off line but there is light scattering beyond the light which blinds oncoming drivers. I have lowered the beams but in order to eradicate glare the beams have to be about 15 feet from the front of the car. I have looked online for a good quality pair of replacement h7r bulbs but they all look the same and all make the claims that they are anti dazzle. some are plastic fittings and others are metal. I am thinking of taking the kit off and replacing with Philips Xtreme bulbs but would prefer to stick with the HID kit if at all possible. I would very much appreciate if anyone can reco a particular make of bulb please. thanks jack.
