Question Missfire every now and then

My 98 V70 NA seems to miss every now and then like a hickup. In or out of gear, at idle, and driving down the interstate at 90. It is usuailly 2 or 3 bumps and then it's fine for days or seconds. I tuned it up with plugs, wired cam and rotor. All from Volvo except the plugs. They are ac delco copper. It is not the plugs because I have had volvo, champion, nkg, autolite in as well tring to get rid of this problem. I have cleaned the mass airflow sensor as well. No vacuum leakes, pcv is working properly, air ducts to intake perfect, throddle body is clean, engine runs smooth as glass at idle in gear stopped, and runs like a scalded dog running down the road. Also no exaust leaks and a new fuel filter.

Any ideas? Thanks, June

Possible that it is the coil. A quick trip to a junk yard is a cheap way to find out. does it do it more when you get on it hard? I know for me, plug gaping was critical. My plugs were at .34. and stock is .30. brought them down just a hair, almost to .30 and it fixed my problems.

I bring up gaping the plugs because mine was also fine at idle. but under hard load or weird weather it would cut out really bad.
