Thud/Chunk going into 4th gear at 60+ mph
Hello all,
I am new and hoping to not be a nuisance by asking a bunch of questions. Here it goes though..........
My v70 has a solid thud that happens when cruising at high speed, after letting off the accelerator once a desired speed has been reached, and I am unsure if it is shifting into 4th or something else.
My questions are:
Is this the torque converter "locking up" or am I experiencing a hard up shift?
Is this a common problem?
I am sure someone will tell me to check and replace my fluid, and me acknowledging this won't stop the obvious police.
Thanks in advance for help.
