Default Transmission fluid leak after a drain and fill

Hello all,

I have a 99 V70 base that I recently had a transmission drain and fill. After the service I noticed a leak. I took it back to the garage hoping something was not all the way tightened, however the shop stated that it was an existing leak that just got worse coincidentally. They did not try to pressure me for service on the spot rather advised that I keep an eye on it.

The shop showed me some pans that were gunky and stated the seals probably need to be replaced, due to the position of the pans it would be cheap parts but labor heavy. The leak seems to drop about a teaspoon or less over a 10 hour period.

I am not 100% convinced the leak is where they believe it to be. I actually think it might be above. Could someone please check his reference picture and tell me what the part highlighted red is? This is not my actual car rather I got lucky and found a shot an 850 with a similar pan.

Thanks in advance.

how did they do the drain/fill - ie did they drop the pan or did they flush using the transmission cooler lines?

Would a service garage actually be prepared to do a 'drain and fill' procedure?
Generally they are hard and fast on a full power flush.
