V70 1999 replacement stereo options
I have a V70 1999 2.4 and I'm looking to change the factory stereo. Currently a double din, but I'm open to replacing with a single din so long as the new surround looks it's optimal best. Question is.. what stereos, fascias have you bought double/single din, that offer the simplest installation and best looks?

I have a panasonic single din from the 90's with three sets of 5v preamp outputs. It was real easy to install and bypass the factory amp. Let me just say this, after replacing the front speakers with Morel Tempo Components hooked a JL 300/4 amp, and a monsub 250/1 JL in back for the sub, unhooking the back speakers, and adding a kicker 12" cvr sealed sub, it's the best and tighest sounding system I've ever heard, because of the way the car is built it doesn't rattle that that brotha's cadillac pumping out 2000 watts of ****, or a honda or something.
The clean and tight sound is also due to the extra insulation and little pieces of dynamat I put in the front doors, but even a simple head unit can make your factory speakers better. the factory placement of the woofer and tweeter is perfect staging, they seem to have really done their homework, bouncing the tweeters off the windshield.
If you like audiophile sound, I think the v70 is one of the best sealed, easiest to install, and best suited for high quality sound than any other car from the 90's.
