V70 50-45le transmission problems
Hi
I have replaced my engine due to a timing belt going. But when I got it back from garage, the orange flashing arrow came on and it felt sluggish.
I got codes PO733 and PO734. Wrong gear ratio. I changed the ATF and the arrow went away and it felt to good to drive. but when I got up to 60/70 mph the car seemed to struggle with revs and go up a gear so arrow came back on with engine light. And the light switched from Enconomy to Winter mode.
It also isn't moving in reverse when on the group but when I have it on stands the wheels roll backwards.
I'm just about to buy a s70 of same year to take out the transmission and replace, only cost me £150. And time. But was wandering if I really need to so this and could it be a solooid, another sensor. PNP possibly.
Or am I being hopeful and its the torque converter that needs changing so might as well change whole tranny.
If its slipping jn reverse is it likely to start playing up in drive.
I don't usually get involved with mechanics but am trying to save the car, it was my dad's and only has 130000 on clock, even the engine I got to replace it had 130300. On it. Its a b5252s with an AW 50-42 le gearbox, 4 speed.
Any suggestions would be great. I'm already £1000 in replacing engine, then buying ATF and ilet speed sensor.
