Default Transmission problems

Hi Guys,

Hopefully someone can help me out here.

I have a volvo 1999 2.4 4 speed v70.

I replaced my engine due to the timing belt snapping, but since the engine replacement, I have had transmission problems. When I drove it away from garage it felt sluggish and an orange arrow flashed up.

Never had issues with gearbox.

I had the car read and it was a PO733 and a PO734. Gear ratios were wrong. It also stopped reversing.

I flushed the ATF last weekend and while it was in air went through the gears and the wheels turn when in reverse.

I also took it for a drive and it felt brand new. No orange arrow. But would not go into reverse when back on ground with weight of car.

So I took it on a faster road and up to 70mph and the arrow came back on. I've replaces the inlet speed sensor, and driven it today and its feeling OK, just as I went up to 60/70 it took ages to change up a gear and arrow came back on. And the light had switched from E to W.on the gear stick.

What could be the cause for it not going into reverse.and it flicking to winter mode.

A bad solonoid or a position sensor or torque converter.!!

Thanks in advance.
