Default V70 ETS repair fails to solve problem

I had had the ETS light comeing on intermitently then the engine management light joined in, only on one journey did I find it going into limp mode and stopping and restarting seemed to sort it out. I sent my ETS off for repair, they say they found fault and repaired it , cost £250.
Problem still exists though afater a day, ETS light comes on intermittently and engine management light on a couple of occasions, in other words exactly what it was doing before. Mechanic ran it through computer again and it throws up codes saying internal throttle fault.
He said he can send it back to them to re-check but if they just say they cant find a fault and they have repaired it any ideas ? Its a 2000 V70.

Having read many threads on this sort of issue I can see you can disappear down a very dark hole with this ETS issue for this year and model !

I only bought it a month ago and its obvioulsy a problem that existed and was disguised for my purchase.

All I can say is that you could have had a new ETM for not much more!!

Can you post exactly which codes are appearing (have them read) The only ETM repair worth having is where you get the end cap replaced with a Sacer sensor and this results in a contactless ETM (unlike the original design)

XeModex has done just that. Sounds like you should also find out what exactly they did in the way of repair; you may have not been given a warranty. Is this the case? Make a call and find out first then see if you can claim. If not have it rebuilt properly by Xemodex.
