Will seats from the Gen2 V70's fit in my 1998?
Hi,
I bought my 1998 V70 on Saturday for the Electric Car Conversion project.
The car is extremely solid and only very minor rust, a good base platform.
HOWEVER it has tan cloth seats which are soiled. I can't see them ever being clean again, but anyways I prefer leather.
There are lots of Gen2 leather seats available near me, including a set of tan leather ones, but I don't know if they'll swap in.
Does anybody know if they'd work without modification?
Thanks.

dunno about the swap - you may want to call a recycle yard like Erie Vo Vo to see if they'd tell you. As a plan b, you can consider refreshing the leather of the existing seats. here's one site that sells replacement skins.

Yeah, I have cloth... looks like somebody spilled chocolate milkshakes on them and then kind of skooched around for awhile. I'd really like to just swap them out for leather-from-factory ones.
I wonder if seats from an 850 would bolt in?
