Good Morning. I need help. I was recently driving my 99 Volvo XC wagon. I was running late and really driving it hard trying to get to an appointment. Later on in the day as I was driving home the car started to sputter and shake violently at around 2 thousand RPM. When I pressed the pedal I got a good return and the turbo kicked in just fine but as it got to 2 k I thought the engine was going to fall out. When I got home I thought maybe it was fuel filter so I have changed it. I went out to test drive it and to put a new tank of gas in t with some performance cleaner. Nothing. Just started it up this morning and as it idles it shakes violently again. Not sure where to go from here. Please help me out. Thanks in Advance

 

Is the check engine light on?

If so have you had the fault codes read?

Please get the codes read (most chain auto parts stores will read them for free) and post the code numbers back. Be sure to get the Pxxxx code numbers themselves rather than their suggested problem. Most of the time what their code reader says is the problem really isn't the problem.
