04 V70 AWD A/C Only working during colder operation.
Hey guys,
I've got an 04 V70 AWD.
For a while my A/C hasn't worked and I've sort of just dealt with it since I didn't have to drive much. However, as I'm driving every day now and I live in Texas it's starting to become a bit too hot during the afternoons.
About two months ago I had my compressor clutch shimmed and for 2 weeks my AC worked GREAT and then it went back to the way it was.
I've also had this weird coolant leak underneath the expansion chamber coming from the hose down there. (I've got one on order, should be here soon)
*G-Wiz knowledge I have to fill my expansion chamber up at least once every 10 days or so.*
I've noticed over the past month that my AC works GREAT in the morning's before the sun comes up and for a few minutes during the day after the car starts. After driving for a few minutes it just stops blowing cold air for a while and then every so often it blows cold air like it's supposed to.
Can provide pictures if you all need me to.

I had similar symptoms on my 2003 V 40. I tried re-gassing and putting a shin in the clutch neither of these worked. I gave up and asked the dealership to take a look. They ended up recommending a new compressor , condenser and high pressure pipe. I also replaced the dryer just to be safe. RePlaced all the parts myself and recharge the system. Now nice and cold once more. Not sure if that helps you or not good luck!
