08 xc70 door is shut...sensor says its not
i opened my back door today and shut it with no problem, but my warning indicator says its still open
interior light stays on while driving...
any ideas?

Similar problem with my 08 v70 driver door. Door is shut, locks and unlocks too, but sensor says it is open and that leaves the interior lights on. Local mechanic says I should replace the lock mechanism which, I am assuming, includes the sensor.
Searching the forum and finding a few "door sensor" problems but no suggestions or comments. Help welcomed!
