2001 V70 2.4t no start...Help please
I recently purchased my first volvo. My V70 2.4t has just over 137k on her. The car has been running fine but showing a Engine system service required fault code 44. The car started the day running fine. I decided to pull fuse 23 (ECM) to see if I could clear the code. Big mistake as now the car won't start. The motor turns over with the starter running strong but the car won't start. I disconnected the neg battery post to try and clear the ECM but it didn't help. So here I am reaching out to you folks..the experts. Any thoughts or suggestions welcome!!! Thank you.
So I was able to get her started and running for a time. Then the CEL came on with a yellow triangle and a "engine service message". Shortly after she went into limp home mode. My research of these forums tells me the ECM is the culprit but how do I know if it should be cleaned or replaced??
