Default 2001 V70 BIG oil leak from front

I hope someone can offer advice on my non - turbo 2001 V70 oil leak.

It is trickling out at a fair rate off the rear corner of the sump nearest the belts.

The whole underside of the car is covered in oil and also the rear window (slipstream)

There is no oil anywhere on the belts - just a little dry dust.

There has been a slight squeal when starting just for a second recently but I don't know if there is a connection.

There is healthy suction at the oil filler (rubber glove test) and I have had the sump off and replaced oil cooler seals.

Leak is coming from higher than the sump joint and takes about 10 seconds to start running off the sump.

I can wipe my hand across the back of the engine and there is just dust so it's not the cam cover.

Any suggestions anyone?

Possibly a cam seal. If so, you may find the seal has "walked" out of the engine.

Thanks for the reply - is it possible that the belts would not show any signs of oil on them?
Everything under the belt covers is very dry - not a sign of oil.
The oil does take 10 -20 seconds before it starts to run off the bottom of the engine, so I was thinking it may be coming from somewhere near the top.

the two big leak items are the cam seals (front and rear) and the turbo oil return line (that can make such a huge mess for such a small part). The squeal on start up sounds like a belt noise or an idler on its way out. Best to check that the timing belt and serpentine belt have not picked up any oil.

Default Cam seals

Thanks, looks as though the cam seals are the first thing to check (non-turbo) and a timing belt is due for replacement anyway.

I had expected to see oil sprayed on the belts but they at dry with no sign of oil.

Are the front cam seals difficult to replace?
