Default 2001 V70 T5 Won't Start. Mother's car. HELP!

My mom recent bought a 2001 V70 T5 about a month ago. It's been a fantastic car with no issues really.

She drove it to work today and when she went to leave, she said all electronics work, but the car won't start.

She says it just makes a fast clicking sound.

I'm sure it's probably something more than just needing a jump, but maybe not.

She said something about Brake system warning lights indicating to stop safely on the dash.

I could care less if the ABS isn't working, but I need to get the car back to her house.

Help!

Problem: Battery.

I put a new battery and negative terminal/cable in and it fired right up.

Now I just need to learn not to freak out for minor things.
