Default 2005 V70 Dies on highway, needs to be retstarted

Our V70 will start and run fine. After 15 or so minutes there is a loss of power and it will die even while applying fuel. This is regardless of speed (though I believe it happens most frequently after driving at highway speeds for a bit.) The car will restart but needs to sit for a moment. I find that sometimes it is possible to over supply it with fuel and get beyond the trouble. I have done all major maintenance on the vehicle including replacing the breather box, timing belt. Tried cleaning the air intake and had the CEM tested and reloaded. Codes include 0300, 0089, 0191, and 0190.
Any info is greatly appreciated

New Fuel Pressure Regulator is my guess. Same thing happened to a friend of mine.

I know this thread is a little old- but I had this same issue with my 05 V70.
I took mine to an independent shop that works on Volvos- $1235!

They replaced a lot of stuff that was totally unnecessary...but their diagnosis was "bad PVC system".
They replaced -
pvc catch tube
pvc oil trap
oil cap
oil and filter
thermostat
manifold gaskets intake
air filter
wiper blades!!!
coolant
motor mount
cleaned intake combustion system

$587- parts
$648- labor.

Now they wanted to do the timing belt!... It only had about 2 years and 40k miles on it. But I said NO.
I doubt I go back there?

Edit: But that did fix the problem..... they probably could have fixed it with a lot less expense though.

Driving around a 13 year old Volvo with the original timing belt is not a good idea.

You misunderstood- Its not the original belt.
The belt that is on the car had only been there 2 years and has less that 40k miles on it.
Volvo recommends changing every 10 years or 105k miles- which ever comes first.

sounds fuel pressure related - start by replacing the fuel pump relay (on the assumption its overheating losing its magnetism). If it works better with a new relay, start shoping for a new fuel pump as that may be drawing too much current for the relay, and then overheats as well. +1 on the fuel filter as a clogged filter can cause the pump to work too hard...
