Hi all...recently my hood latch warning light came on and will not turn off ...the hood is def latched so I'm not sure whats going on with it...anyone run into this problem ever?

 

I have read about it and have not experienced it.
If I remember correctly, one of the 2 catches has a small switch in it which detects the closed position.
I believe the catch with the switch is on the right side in No. American cars.
Where it ends up in UK/Japan cars is something I do not know.
Every once in a while you'll see a post regarding the switch breaking.
