About engine noise & battery change
A month ago, I drove my car (03 V70) to a repair shop and had the inner tie rods and rear rotors replaced; on the way home, it started to make noises (from the engine) and vibrations. I drove it back to have it checked today, the clicking noises and vibration were from the engine. They will check it again next week. I am wondering if it is just coincidence that the noises start right after the part replacement or if it is contingent to the replacement. Will the noise disappear eventually? any one has similar experiences?
Also, the battery got drained out after 1 hour of accidentally having the parking lights on. They tested it today and told me the battery has 22% left. I am planning to have it replaced next Week. Am I making a right decision? Any suggestion? Thank you very much for your opinion.

I haven't had the clicking and vibration but I don't believe in coincidences. Awful strange.
As to the battery. 22% of what? If the cells are strong enough to turn the car over then you don't need a new battery. I have noticed a lot of shops and car part places like to test batteries now. Easy money. Technically speaking, as soon as the battery is used once it is now less than 100%. That being said, if the battery is original then it has seen more than its useful life. But you don't mention any starting problems prior to the drainage. If preventing what MAY happen is one of your priorities then by all means replace it. Just my opinion.
