Default car cranks 3-4 times but won't start (immobilizer)

Our 2005 v70 is giving us issues.
A few weeks ago, I wired a flat 4 trailer wiring to the rear lights and after I hooked up the trailer, I got an "anti-skid maintenance required" and "immobilizer see manual".
Since then, the car has slowly gotten more difficult to start. I replaced the battery and now it won't start at all. If I put the key in and quickly turn the ignition, it will crank 3-4 times. If I do it slowly...nothing.
We had 2 keys, but on one of them the RFID got cracked and slowly died. As it was dying, I experienced the same problem of the engine/starter not engaging.
I fear that this key is also dying.
Will the dealer have to cut a new key or can they replace the RFID?
Thanks,
Ben
