Dashboard reading hieroglyphics and gauges not working
Hi all, I just put in a new back left speaker in my 2005 v70 while the battery was on and music was playing as it wasn’t working. Obviously I shouldn’t have done this while the battery was on and music was playing but I needed to see which replacement speaker sounded better since I pulled a couple off of some junk v70’s at a pick n pull. As mentioned in the title the clock display and thermometer are bugging out and displaying random symbols and the gauges keep twitching but not actually moving. Earlier I was driving for about 20 minutes and the gauges just randomly started working again for about 5 minutes and I thought it had fixed myself but after I started my car again it started freaking out again. I’ve already tried disconnecting the battery and I’m going to try pulling the fuse but what else should I try if that doesn’t work? The speaker works great by the way it’s just the dash that’s broken now. Thanks for taking the time to read and comment!
The DIM going bad has nothing to do with replacing a speaker. If was just your time
