Hi guys I am looking at a v70 xc for sale the owner claims that is has a wheel wobble around 25mph if you hit the gas.. but claims it drives fine other wise.. what kind of problem does this sound like? cv joints? it has 149k on it and appears to be a well kept car. anything else I should look for common to these cars ?

Hi. A wheel wobble is usually a bad tie rod. Jack car, grab wheel with both hands 9am and 3pm position. Start wobbling pulling and pushing side to side. If you feel wheel wobbles in and out you will need a new tie rod. You can remove the wheel and start carefully checking your tie rod play while pushing and pulling on rotor. Check and replace both sides for safety. Best of luck. Watch some YouTube videos.
