need help asap! v70 wont fire up
hell everyone.
my 2001 v70 xc. will not fire. the battery is good and the igniton works. I can here the starter turning over but and the car wants to turn over but the engine wont fire up. it almost fires up if I hold the gas to the floor but only then it sounds as if one piston is firing hardly. the engine will not run. as soon as I stop cranking the starter the car shuts off. first alarm I had on the dash was the immobilizer alarm. I don't have a remote entry key so I manually locked/unlocked the driver door five times and that alarm went away. I then attempted to start it and same thing happened only now it displays a "abs service required" alarm.
any help is greatly appreciated. really don't want to have to tow this one home.
thanks

did you crank a long time to the point the starter slowed down? low battery voltage can trip some fault codes. cranking and "almost firing" sounds typical of a fuel pressure issue - fuel pump, relay, pressure sensor/pressure regulator.
