Default Purge control valve

I have an 02 v70 with 196000, love this car!

Recently the check engine light came on, other than that there were no adverst symptoms. I had the codes checked and came up with the following:

PO245 WASTGATE SOLENIOD A LOW
PO445 PURGE CONTROL VALVE CIRCUIT SHORTED
PO448 VENT CONTROL SHORTED
P2401 LEAK DETECTION CIRCUIT LOW
P2090 CAMSHAFT POSITION CIRCUIT LOW

Sounds catastrophic at first glance but a search through this fourum sent me to the #5 fuse in the under hood fuse panel. This fuse powers all the systems above. Replaced the fuse and it blue right away.

OK showing two potentially shorted circuits I am going for the control and vent valves. I strongly suspect the vent valve due to a intermitent fuel smell that I have noted over the last couple of months. I did replace the fuel pump recently due to a leak and figured that was the cause of the smell, it helped but was not the whole story.

OK to my question asuming the vent valve is the culprit were is it ??

If the vent valve proves to be good then were is the purge valve ??

I found what I thought to be the purge valve under the hood attached to the side of the air filter box but it dose not look anything like the photo of the replacement ( to many hoses)

To tell you the truth I feel a bit dumb asking but I have looked and its hidden pretty good,

Thanks in advance
