Temp sensor and mirrors....
Hi,
I hope someone out there can help with a strange issue on my 2003 V70. More often than not my exterior temp gauge on the dash reads -- when this happens the front electric window switches and the mirror switches operate the opposite window/ mirror. (The right switch operates the left window etc) Occasionally it does display the temperature and when this happens all of the switches work normally.
The car has only covered 32000 miles and is mint apart from this frustrating issue.
Hope someone can shed dome light on this.
Thanks in advance.
Mike

The exterior temp sensor on my 2001 v70 is in the drivers-side external mirror.
The sensor connects to the driver door module, which sends the signal along.
The same module runs the mirror control.
I'd say the easy answer would be to visit a junkyard and get a new driver-door module, as the switches are just switches. But checking cables might be smart before spending money. There are several "take your door apart" videos on YouTube.
