Is there a dye to touch up dashboard?
So I just picked up a 2003 XC70. Interior was mostly mint except a residue from duct tape or something on the dash. So on instinct, I used Goo Gone & scrubbed. It was VERY difficult, so I got a bit too rough with it. The adhesive is gone, but so is the shine in that spot where I had to scrub hard. It also seems like I removed some of the color. It doesn't feel as slick as the rest either, it feels like the shell/coating is gone there.
Is there a dye that can be purchased (dealer or otherwise) that would match the dash & help blend this back in a bit?? Pic below:

Cleaned up a bit more. The light spot in the left is the glare from the flash:

I don't know if this will work on the front dash and glove box but here is what I did.
I found a piece of the interior( rear fuse box cover) that was the same color as the color I was trying to repair. I took that piece to the paint store and they matched the color. I bought an egg shell finish the first time but really felt that it was too shinny. I decided to go with a matte finish and that really looked best. This worked on a hard plastic surface. I'm not sure about if you will get the same result on the soft textured dash surface.
