V70 2.4T Manual swap
Question for those of you who may have knowledge on the subject. I have a 2001 V70 2.4T and a 2001 M56LK trans. Wondering what flywheel(single mass please) and clutch kit will join these two. I've been researching for months and have found no reliable way to match anything. The guys at IPD seem to think the flywheel and clutch from a 97 850R would work - but it as I recall, the 'R's were AWD which would mean a different trans. correct?
I need to get this car on the road, but I don't want to order $1k worth of parts and have them be wrong.
(Also, I called local Volvo dealership. I told parts dept. what I was doing and they promptly told me they could not help in any way.)
thanks

I have the same car (01 V70 2.4t) and despise the volvo automatic transmissions. I should have waited for a manual V70 to show up instead of giving in. I considered a swap, but I didn't think anything was compatible with the 2.4t and how the TCM/software stuff would pan out.
The only thing I've ever seen is this thread: Swedespeed Forums - The Bastard Child: M56LK in a 2001 Volvo V70 T5m
Any chance you'd be generous enough to document or photo your progress and success?
