v70 3rd row rear end crash question
Hello, I have an 01 S60 and thinking of getting the V70 to replace our family 2003 Expedition. My question is are these wagons safe for kids in the 3rd row? Can someone share photos and personal experiences.
Thanks
Thanks
Hi

the 3rd row is great, i have one myself and love it... but it is not always what you'd want. it has a weight limit of i think 60 or 70lbs per side and it is not intended for any children who cannot pass the 5 step test, along with the fact that child safety restraints i.e. car seats and such are not meant to protect backwards facing children.
i love it and works well in a bind but i am no t sure it would be great if you often have more than five people riding with you especially young children
hope that helps

I have a 2001xc70 and have 2 kids that use the back, 7 and 8 yrs old
we have traveled last summer 1600miles with a topper on it and 6 people in the wagon, air on 70mph, got 22mpg avg on that trip.
however, I will need to upgrade since the 2 young ones are getting taller lol
maybe a s90 lol
