Hello all, I hope someone out there can help me. I have a 2002 V70 petrol non-turbo that merrily cranks over but won’t start.
Always after being left overnight on my drive.
It has done this twice before and after a few days it has started and run perfectly again for a few hundred miles, sweet as a nut.

Can’t get it to start at all now.I have a PPC – BSR code reader and it only finds the codes that have always been there CCM-0021 (cabin air quality), DDM-0030 (mirrors), UEM-004 (siren) and CEM-1A63 (AEM accessory add-on box).

I also have a DICE and VIDA although I am not very expert at using it; this shows PASS on all modules except the ones found by the other code reader.I’ve have had the battery disconnected and on-charge overnight but that made no difference

.Should a bad cam or crank sensor give a failure code?
Can anyone out there suggest anything?
Any help would be greatly appreciated – rapidly losing the little bit of hair I had!

 

The only thing I can think of is the ECM may be bad because it is what stores the code so maybe it has an intermediate fault that causes it to not work or store codes. Always start with the basics such as am I getting a spark? Am I getting gasoline to the cylinders? You should be able to pull one coil and spark plug and see if there is a spark.
