01 XC70 - new pads - wobble sound
Brake question: I installed (successfully) new pads on my 01 XC70 and just trying to see if you have any ideas for my issue.
The brakes worked fine last night after installation with no issue, but today=a new sound. There is (at certain speeds ~30-40 mph I think) a slight wobble sound coming from the F/L. I emphasize the word sound because the steering does not wobble and neither do the brakes when applied.
I've been re-thinking my steps and I'm certain everything was re-assembled correctly. This isn't my first rodeo. It's an odd sound though. It isn't metallic and it's not a scraping noise. It sounds like a golf ball rolling around in a wooden box. This sound was not present prior to the new pads. I wouldn't call this judder because the sound doesn't occur when brakes are applied.
The rotors seemed fine before as well and did not seem warped, though I'm not ruling it out as a possibility.
Any thoughts would be much appreciated.
