Okay, I've read a few dozen threads/suggestions about "removing Volvo headrests" or "stuck passenger headrests." Haven't come across my "issue" yet. Please advise ! My middle, rear seat headrest is STUCK in the highest possible position and is blocking the line of sight through the back window. The release button doesn't do the trick to lower it back into any lower position. I've removed the two, top, side plastic trim pieces and the center plastic trim piece along the top of the seat trying to get a look at the problem inside, but that doesn't reveal anything since the headrest support rods and lowering/raising mechanism aren't in view. It looks like I'm going to have to disassemble the seat more to expose the whole inner workings, but I don't want to just start unscrewing things. Any suggestions? ( I haven't been able to find a seat schematics diagram on line.) If someone can point me in the right direction I'd be eternally grateful. ( okay, that could be going too far
