I'm trying to remove the rear middle headrest with no success. There are no places to press, as in the front headrests, the back of the back seat is solid. The plastic molding could be removed to get the rear drivers side headrest out, but the molding can't be removed by spreading the plastic molding clips like on the side headrests, the poles on the middle headrest go through the molding with no such plastic molding clips to spread. What's the answer?

I had the same issue with my 2002 XC70!!! I tried pulling and pushing and nothing helped.


Next I took off all of the plastics and peeled back the leather and such couldn't find a way "release it" I then lubed up rods as a last resort and gave it a good bump on the ground and it released.


Might be worth a try!!
