2004 XC70 Do I have 286 or 305 mm brakes ?
Hi,
It's extremely cold outside, I need to rebuild my front suspension. I've already got almost everything but the brakes.
They come in two sizes 286 and 305 mm.
My VIN is YV1SZ59H941140398
Searching online I can't get a straight answer, I even found a guy that asked the dealer and they got the wrong answer ?
I could go outside, remove the wheel and the rotor and measure it accurately, in the blinding cold, but I rather not if I can avoid it !
I suspect I have the cheaper brakes and that most of the 2004 xc70 have it, but I'm not 100% sure !

what size wheels does your car use - if you have 15s then its the smaller size? I suspect the XCs use part # 31471830 which is the 286mm (11.25") model as I believe the 305s were for the R models. If you are concerned, remove the wheel and use this template tool: https://s3.amazonaws.com/fcp-pdf-files/rotor-tool.pdf
