I'm sure that this is somehow related to my wife backing up into a tree last week, but we replaced the rear glass and the rear door opened and closed and locked and unlocked just fine after the "incident". I was really bummed when I couldn't find a place to insert the key. Is there by chance an emergency lever or cord hidden somewhere when the electronically actuated lock doesn't work? Where can I purchase a workshop manual for this car? Anyone?????

 

Try wiggling the hatch release. I've had these where you squeeze them and nothing happens. Push the lever the opposite direction gently and you will hear it click, then open.

A new handle assy is in order.
