Default 2008 xc70 reduced engine performance

Hello,
I was driving yesterday and when I went to take off from a stop light the car stumbled and went in to a reduced engine performance condition. I was able to drive about 5 mph to a parking lot. From what I have read it’s most likely a throttle body issue. I removed and cleaned, but it did not resolve the issue. I changed plugs and MAF sensor. If I purchase a throttle body, would I need to have it reprogrammed? Can I purchase one ready to bolt in? Car ran great until then.
also, there has been a code for the evap being stuck open, but that been like that for a while.
thanks

hello sir not sure if you fixed your issue yet but I’ve had this same exact problem and swapped throttle body but it is not that at all well in my case it wasn’t. There’s a fuse that actually causes your car to go into limp mode and shoot a throttle body malfunction code.
If I can remember the fuse had something to do With the throttle control module but honestly I would replace any fuses that mess with any electrical command units such as ecm and etc. wanted to clarify that it could be a BAD fuse not just a fuse.also you don’t need to reprogram your throttle body if the car is 2008 and older. I think but I have an 08 and I know for sure you don’t have to.

I seem to have fixed. I cleaned the TB, but that made no difference. I saw that the Mass Airflow sensor was dirty. I replaced with new and problem went away. Have driven 1000 mi so far and all good
