Reduced Engine Performance Problem
I recently had my 07' S80 3.2 die on the highway with the reduced engine performance warning. Tried to restart the car which it did but runs very rough and has no throttle response. I had the vehicle towed home where I scanned for trouble codes and came up with P1589. I searched the forum for any similar codes and have come up empty. Does anyone have any experience with the P1589 code and can point me in the right direction to getting this issue fixed before having to resort to the dealer? Any help will be greatly appreciated.
I have a very similar REP problem with the '03 S60, T5, AWD , 140K miles
REP = reduced engine performance .
A week has passed and ? .
I have read that throttle bodies are plug and play (newer ones)
And the throttle body may not be the problem .. there is also the plug in connections...corrosion problems ...
Do you pressure wash your engine as I do ? I have never had this problem with the Saab 900 ...luck or better design ?..
