Default 2009 XC70 Water Pump

Hi, I'm having trouble finding diagrams to show me exactly where the water pump is on this engine, I think I have found it but would like confirmation.

I can see coolant sitting on the block just under what "I think" is the water pump, but this thing looks nothing like a 70's era chevy water pump :-)

I have replaced the vacuum pump already, is it below and to the right of that?

any pictures or diagrams, how to's on replacing it would be much appreciated.

You sure it's your water pump that's leaking? It's a massive pain the @$$ to get in there and swap it. I had to replace the accessory belt and tensioner/idler and ended up doing the water pump too while I was in there (@150K miles) so that I wouldn't have to rip it all apart again someday. Now my power steering pump is starting to make the high pitch whining noise when turning the wheels and not moving, so I'll probably have to go back in there...but a serious PITA to service this part of the engine.

To get to the water pump you have to removed the timing belt cover, it driven by the timing belt too.

The 3.2 is different; it has a timing chain and acc belt and water pump are on fhe driver's side of the engine and above the transmission.

That's the water pump and it is expensive as well as a time-hog to fix.
