ABS and brake assist warning light and message

Default ABS and brake assist warning light and message

My car 07 XC70; ABS and brake assist light and message need service on; Where should I check for the problems? Please help!

You have to start with an appropriate scan tool.

I had the same issue, out of nowhere. There was nothing wrong with the brakes so far as I (or my local volvo tech) could tell. I used the OBD2 scanner I purchased on amazon to clear the code to see if it would come back. Hasn't yet. There is a very specific scanner that you need for our (mine is an 04) xc70s. I can give you a link if interested.

Thanks Matthew, please give me the link; The message would came on while driving, but after stop and engine turned off, when start and drive again the message dissapeared, it's drive me nut.

Sure! The guys at the shop also said it could be a brake pedal sensor. Farther down the line they said I might need the ABS system rebuilt, but it works well for now.
